Din Tai Fung is a must-visit Orchard Road Restaurant. At this Taiwanese institution, you're likely to encounter a line at supper time or on weekends. The xiao long bao alone is worth the wait, but there's also fried rice with shrimp or pork chops, drunken chicken, braised beef noodles, and vegetable and pork wonton soup on the menu.
The Michelin-starred restaurant in Hong Kong has high expectations, and the only thing that frustrates is the length of the line. The original in Paragon Centre is our favourite branch, where you can watch the crew fold dim sum in the transparent kitchen.
