St. Machar's Cathedral

This cathedral is believed to have been built on the site of what once belonged to a small Celtic chapel. The cathedral that stands today was founded in 1136 and the earliest work of the present building was started in the 14th century and completed in 1552.
The Tolbooth Museum

The Tolbooth display is nestled in a former prison of Aberdeen and was opened to the general public in the year 1995. Featuring the structural style of the 17th and 18th century, this museum houses several displays on the history of the city and how crime and punishment have evolved over the centuries. Brig O' Balgownie

St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral

Later as the church was raised to a cathedral position, the beams and spires were added to its structure as a symbol of the change.

Old Aberdeen

Union Terrace Gardens

The place also has an amphitheatre, which contrary to popular beliefs is not a naturally occurring venue.
