About Aberdeen Art Gallery

The Aberdeen Art Gallery is a famous structure and renowned art gallery among the tourist places to visit in Aberdeen, housing in its interiors some of the finest art collections, including several popular paintings. Ranging over 700 years the art gallery's collection includes artwork of renowned artists like Charles Rennie Mackintosh, John Phillips, William Turner, Monette and many others. There are 18 permanent collections in the gallery including the sculpture court, collecting art and others. The gallery also holds special exhibitions from time to time. In addition to this the museum is also home to one of the most interesting collections of British silver, glass and ceramics. There is even an amazing little cafe that is located on the premises and should definitely be visited by tourists. The art gallery is free to be explored by the visitors on their own or they can opt for an audio tour
