About Union Terrace Gardens
The Union Terrace Gardens are located on Union street, one of the major areas in the city of Aberdeen. These sunken gardens and the public park cover around two and a half acres of lush green landscapes that were opened to the general public in the year 1879. The gardens are home to 200 year old elm trees which add to its rustic beauty and fresh atmosphere. In addition to this, visitors will also see the beautifully crafted floral crest of the city’s coat of arms.
Perfect for relaxing strolls and picnines, the gardens have plenty of space for kids to play and enjoy their time with other kids. The amphitheater of the gardens hosts various events and games throughout the year, adding to the amazing activities that are open for tourists and locals in this popular attraction.
