01

Visit the Pura Blanjong

In Sanur's Intaran Village, Pura Blanjong is the locals' favorite temple. The name 'Blanjong' is a combination of two Indonesian words: Belahan, which means 'parts of', and Ngejung, which means 'fish-boat.' Locals think that a massive stranded fish-boat was discovered at the temple's nearby shore, which gave the temple its name.

It was constructed as a memorial to Sri Kesari Warmadewa, a well-known Balinese king from the past. It also houses Bali's oldest known item, the famed Prasasti Blanjong which dates back to 914 AD. It has an inscription that spells out 'Wali Dwipa,' the name of the island of Bali. Pura Blanjong is unquestionably a site of enthralling architecture and enormous historical value.

Go for Scuba Diving

If you’re wondering about activities to do in Sanur Bali, you must go for Scuba diving. Sanur Bay is possibly among the most popular diving locations for beginners. The dive location alone has coral reefs extending down the channel's edge, which gradually descends onto a vast sandy platform. The undersea world begins barely 300m off the coast of Sanur. Each of these three diving spots has a unique bottom makeup. The sandy nature of the ground causes ordinary circumstances at times, and so underwater visibility might be a little limited. Admire the Blanjong Pillar

Visiting Blanjong Pillar is one of the best things to do in Sanur Bali. The Blanjong inscription is significant in Bali's history. Unfortunately, the location is difficult to discover, and there is no documentation at the site. A little alley next to a rather large temple leads to the place of the inscription, and the pillar is contained in a glass case and can only be seen from afar.

The Hamlet Blanjong is named after the people who built it, with Blan meaning "broken," and Jong meaning "boat," in honor of a prince who was stranded on the beach. Hidden treasure is a fitting description of this wonderful tiny spot, which is rare among the overt business and pervasive plastic rubbish nearby.
