Diskit Monastery or the Diskit is the largest and the oldest Gompa in the Nubra Valley. It was built in the 14th century and is renowned for its beautiful architecture. The main highlight of the monastery is the amazing placement at the top of the hill which gives you a panoramic view of the town and the entire Nubra Valley.

You can find a statue of Cho Rinpoche or Crowned Buddha inside the monastery which attracts the tourists. The most famous feature about the monastery is the 32 meters tall statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Located in the proximity of Siachen Glacier, Panamik village is a beautiful and undiscovered village of Leh.
