Leh Palace

Leh Palace, also known as Lichen Palkhar, is located on the top of the abandoned Tsemo Hill and it is considered to be one of the top places to visit in Leh Ladakh in May. It was built in the 17th century and was once the residence of the royal dynasty of Leh. During its prime, the structure was one of the highest in the city, with nine stories.

Deskit Gompa

The Diskit Monastery, also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa, is the largest and oldest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh's Nubra Valley. It is a Tibetan Buddhist sect known as the Gelugpa. Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a pupil of Tsong Khapa, the founder of Gelugpa, founded it in the 14th century.
This monastery also contains a school that is administered in partnership with "The Tibet Support Group," a non-profit organization. The school offers computer facilities as well as English-language science instruction for Tibetan children. The celebration "Dosmoche," which translates to "Scapegoat Festival," is well-known at Diskit Monastery. During this festival, masked monk performances depicting the power of good over evil are common.
