One of the oldest places to visit, Chandni Chowk in old Delhi’s thoroughfare which is a chaotic shopping street. It is one of the historical gardens in Delhi. Locally known as the Jaisinghpura palace, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib was the home of Raja Jai Singh which was converted into a gurudwara later. It is named after the 8th Sikh guru, guru Harkishan Sahib. A temple that has its door open to people of all castes, Laxminarayan or Birla temple is a must visit place in Delhi. It is one of the biggest Hindu temples in the city.  As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi( the Goddess of prosperity). 

The temple is situated to the west of Connaught Place. Spread over an area of 7.5 acres, the temple comprises of many shrines, sculptures and fountains.

It also houses the memorials of Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Jagjivan Ram, Shankar Dayal Sharma and many others who have immensely contributed towards the well being of the nation.

Built by Nawab Shaujad Daula, the tomb of Safdarjung is a popular tourist attraction in Delhi. This tomb is a true symbol of the rich heritage and culture of the Mughal Empire.  The architecture of the mausoleum is quite similar to that if the Humayun’s tomb. 

The monument provides a very calm environment to its visitors and is a well-maintained place. The grave is located at the intersection of Safdurjung road and Aurobindo Marg.

It is believed that the baoli was built around the time of Mahabharat. The old walls take one back into the history of those glorious days and the temperature declines as one goes down the stairs deep into the baoli.

Situated inside the Qutub complex where the Qutub Minar is present stands the magnificent Iron Pillar, built by Chandragupta 2. The Iron Pillar is one of the most fantastic places to visit in Delhi.
