How To Reach

Krang Suri Waterfalls is located in the Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. The nearest town to the site is Amlarem and it is 91 km from Shillong. The best route you can take is from Jowai, a nearby town.

By Car: Drive up to the Krang Suri Waterfalls from Shillong. It is a 3-hour drive from the city and then a 20 minute trek from the parking area to the waterfalls. You can also reach Jowai and drive to the waterfalls. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from Jowai to Krang Suri.

By Cab: Book a cab from Shillong to Krang Suri Waterfalls. It is a 3-hour long drive to the falls, but it will be convenient for you, but a little expensive.

By Shared Taxi: Shared taxis are a common mode of transportation in Meghalaya. You can inquire about shared taxis going to Jowai or Krang Suri from Shillong, which can be a more affordable option compared to hiring a private taxi.

Best Time To Visit

The Krang Suri Waterfall is open all year round. Each season has its own magic, but it is less advisable to visit in the monsoon season due to the risk of slipping accidents. Entry to the falls is free but there can be some parking charges and maintenance charges. There are no particular timings for the falls.

Best Season to Visit: September to December is the best season to visit the Krang Suri Waterfalls. The post-monsoon season enhances the beauty of Meghalaya, the water is in its full glory and the lush scapes are more scenic.
