Sattal Lake

Sattal situated at the lower Himalayan range near Bhimtal and is an accumulation of seven freshwater lakes. The reason why Sattal is one of the highly recommended places to visit in Naukuchiatal because of its rich biome, dense oak and pine forests and alluring untouched beauty. This pristine lake is neatly seated below the fragrant Orchards, which further beautifies the Mehragaon valley.
Migratory birds flock from various geographies to make Sattal their home for a few weeks and again fly back to their home. Sattal boasts of a butterfly museum with a massive collection of 2500 butterflies and moth and 1100 insects. Sattal also has a Mission estate and a Methodist ashram on the banks of the Lake.

Bhimtal Lake

Hanuman Temple

The Hanuman temple is a place to visit in Naukuchiatal if you are an ardent devotee of Hanuman Ji, the monkey god. The entrance of the temple is like a cave which takes you to an open space towards the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The 52 feet statue of Lord Hanuman with the backdrop of green mountains and a clear blue sky is a sight to witness.

Naukuchiatal Lake

Mukteshwar, this little hilly town of Nainital one of the popular tourist places in Naukuchiatal has a lot of history entwined along its existence. The 350-year-old Shiva temple, Mukteshwar Dham adorns the tip of the highest point in town. Historical evidence claims that the temple has been built by Tamil Pandya king.
Close to it, is Chauli ki Jali, overhanging cliffs which are best enjoyed for rappelling and rock climbing and offers a breathtaking view of the valley below.
