How to reach :

The city of Haridwar does not have an airport. Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest one. It is a domestic airport that is connected to various cities in India. Haridwar is well-connected to many cities across India, through many highways. National Highway 58, passes through Haridwar connects it to Delhi. The main railway station serving the area is Haridwar Railway Station. It comes under Northern Railway Zone and it is connected to major cities and tourist destinations in India.

Day 1
Haridwar - Guptkashi | Witness the temples and ghats along holy Ganga as you travel from Haridwar to Guptkashi

  • You will be picked from Haridwar in the morning and will be taken to the Guptkashi.
  • On your way, there will be a halt at Rishikesh for your biometric test that will take around 4 hours.
  • One can also witness the beauty of the yoga capital of Indi, Rishikesh while waiting for the test.
  • The route will be covering the Byasi, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Agastmuni hill stations on the way.
  • Have your lunch in the midway and you will reach the destination in the evening.
  • Check-in into the hotel and enjoy the evening.
  • Overnight stay at Guptkashi/Rudraprayag/Phata depending on the availability.
Day 2
Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath | Trail to Pristine Abode of Lord Shiva amid the Unparalleled Beauty of the Himalayas

  • Wake up with the mesmerizing view of mountains all across in Guptkashi.
  • Before embarking towards Gaurikund, take packed breakfast with you that you can have on the way to Kedarnath as you'll have to start early at around 4:00 A.M.
  • A vehicle will take you to Sonprayag after which private vehicles are not allowed & you'll need to walk (approx 1km) to the government taxi stand from where a taxi will drop you to Gauri Kund.
  • Gauri Kund is a place where Lord Shiva finally admitted His love for Lord Gauri as well as it is a characteristic pool with warm water known for relieving skin maladies.
  • Start the trek to the Kedarnath from Gauri Kund.
  • You can take ponies or palanquins for the journey at your own cost.
  • Trek through the beautiful valley and river stream flowing in between both of them.
  • Have lunch stop in between and continue the journey, you will get to see the Kedarnath Temple, situated right at the centre of the valley with mountains on every side looking like they are providing safety to the temples.
  • After offering prayers at Kedarnath, trek back to Guptkashi, have dinner & take a rest.
