St. Mary’s Church Lansdowne

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple
Located about 38 kilometres from Lansdowne at a height of 1,800 metres, Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple is a sacred place dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by deodar trees, it is a peaceful place for meditation. According to legend, the demon Tarkasur once worshipped Shiva here, and Shiva granted him immortality under certain conditions.
