1. Tate Liverpool: Tate Liverpool, one of the best art galleries and museums in Liverpool houses the national collection of modern and contemporary art. 2. Merseyside Maritime Museum: The Maritime Museum aims at informing visitors about the lives of thousands of immigrants who travelled to North America through the Mersey between 1830 and 1930. You can witness a number of fascinating exhibits on display as well as a remarkable collection of relics from Liverpool's maritime history, dating as far back as the 13th century.
Model ships, workshops, and historical vessels provide illustrations for this rich history. Exhibits dedicated to the histories of the Titanic and Lusitania can also be found here, making it one of the most interesting places to visit in Liverpool. Another popular highlight of the place includes the U-boat story which displays life on a submarine during wartime.

3. Victoria Gallery and Museum: One of the best places to visit in Liverpool for art lovers is the Victoria Gallery and museum. It houses huge collections of paintings from some of the most famous artists in history such as J. M. W. Turner and Lucian Freud. You can admire a large no. of sculptures and ceramics on display in the museum and spend a beautiful day with friends and family.
The Victoria Gallery & Museum is housed in the magnificent "original red brick" structure, which is the University of Liverpool's iconic landmark. Along with a café and store, the facility also offers a schedule of educational talks and workshops.

4. Pier Head: One of the major attractions of the city of Liverpool, the Pier head is a former railway station which is now a magnificent ferry port. You can witness the three iconic port structures known as the Three Graces can be seen in Liverpool's Pier Head neighbourhood. These include the Port of Liverpool, Royal Liver Building and the Cunard building. The Titanic Memorial, honouring the "Heroes in the Engine Room" of the luxury ship that sank in 1912, is also located here.

5. St. George's Hall: Amongst the best places to visit in Liverpool is St. George’s Hall, a legal court and a civic hall at large. This concert hall, designed by Robert Cockerell, is a jewel of neoclassical decoration and is an especially noteworthy.legendary forum for Dickens and some esteemed Victorians.
You can witness various readings, lectures, weddings, conferences, dinners, tours, and comedy performances. Located on Brown street, the hall is decorated in corinthian style statues and columns. Towards the end of the building you will find the beautiful St. John's Gardens which have statues of famous Liverpudlians.

6. Walker Art Gallery: One of the other famous places to visit in Liverpool for art seekers is the Walker Art Gallery housing a huge collection of modern and historical works by French, Italian and Flemish artists. With pieces by Gainsborough, Hogarth, and Moore, it has the best collection of English painting and sculpture outside of London, especially from the 18th to the 20th century.
A major exhibition of modern British art, the John and Peter Moore Exhibition, is held here every two years.
