Fort George is 42 acres and was designed to provide all the facilities. It consists of a comprehensive range of buildings to accommodate the Governor and officers, the artillery detachment, and a large infantry garrison. The fort is also known to have a bakehouse, brew house chapel, powder magazine, a provisions store, and an ordnance store.
