Located close to the Al Husn Palace, the Al Baleed Archaeological Park is under the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It has definitely earned this open-air archeological park a crucial place for tourists that explore Oman. The ruins that you will find here at this park are actually the remnant of Z̧afār, an ancient city that was vital to the frankincense trade.
It gained more prominence after the fall of Khor Rori port. The park is well-maintained and works actively to maintain the ancient cultural heritage of Oman. You must also visit the Museum of the Land of Frankincense located within the park.
