The Siddhagad Trek is one of the most renowned fort treks in Maharashtra. Located on the top of a hill, the fort has witnessed a lot of historical events including the famous battle of the British with Marathas. The fort also offers magnificent views of Karnala, Kothaligad, Bhimashankar, Gorakhgadh, and Macchindragadh. On this trip, you will be trekking to the top of the Siddhagad fort, stepping into on its history and witnessing the amazing vistas of nature. You will also be able to witness the yearly brilliance of the fireflies event, in which you will see thousands of glowing fireflies emanating their light and making the whole place sparkle like a fairy tale.
You Siddhagad Trek will start from Kalyan in Thane from where you will be transported to Murabad and then Narivali by bus. You will be starting the trekking from Narivali to the top of the fort witnessing the sparkling fireflies on the way. As you reach the top enjoy the magnificent views, have delicious dinner, explore the fireflies and sleep in comfortable tents. In the morning, you will be trekking to the peak of the hill after breakfast, enjoying the view, and descending back to the base village for lunch. Get transferred to Kalyan and take sweet memories with you.
An experienced trekking guide and service crew will be with you throughout the trip who will guide you, tell you interesting facts about the place and help you in case of anything.

How to reach?
You will be picked up from for the Siddhagad Trek from a convenient location in Kalyan. You can easily reach there by private or public transportation.
Note:
Not recommended for pregnant women and children below 11 years of age.
From the meeting point, you will be taking a state transport bus to reach Murbad, the district where Siddhagad lies.
You will reach Narivali by road transfer, which is the base village for the trek.
After an introduction, you will start the trek to Siddhagad Machi, with a lot of places on the way where you will be seeing fireflies.
At the campsite in Siddhagad Machi, you will have your dinner before beginning on the second session of fireflies trek.
Overnight in camp.
After a wake-up call at 5 in the morning, we will begin a trek to the top of Siddhagad.
Spend some time here before you descend back down for your breakfast.
At about 10:30 AM, you will descend back down to Narivali, where lunch will be served to you at about 1 PM.
Post lunch, you will transfer back to Kalyan marking the end of this trip

In a very professional way, the team handling this trek! The very nice way we all meet up at the meeting point, the transfer went well with good transport and driver. From the village, we start the trek along with the informative guide, on the way we are getting to see many amazing things that fill our hearts with joy. We had a camp stay in Siddhagad Machi the tent was good. The foods were tasty eating in the open areas with stargazing, climbed to the highest point was great, and have a good time there and snap many memories.

Start till the end of the trek is simply awesome with a very good guide and good staff, both ascending and descending of the trek went absolutely great without any problem and as planned. Mostly everything went nice and safe.

Our instructor was very very... friendly and helpful making the walk very fun and nice along with the fellow trekker who was very friendly too altogether we had an amazing walk and stayed in the middle of a nowhere but beautiful place. So many precious memories that I have no words to describe it. Let me tell you that the tour was nice-arranged with good staff, the meals and the transport were amazing. The activity and scenery were just unexplainable.

The difficulty level of the Siddhagad trek falls under the medium level difficulty trek. This trek is a proper thriller in which one would like to pull and trek up the hill. The trek has the medium level of difficulty which requires the people to trek along who have good stamina and body to climb the hill by crossing the slippery trails and slopes of the hill, although a tourist guide will be there to guide you through the trek which will make it big easy for you to trek.
The total trek distance of the Siddhagad trek is nearly 450 steps which are required to be covered to reach the top of the fort at the height of 3543 feets It will almost take 2 days and 1 night to cover this whole trek including all the activity inclusions.

By Air - You can take a flight from the Nearest Airport for Pune or Mumbai and then you can take a bus or rental car to reach Pratapgad Fort to get on for the Siddhagad trek which is almost 148 Km away from Pune Airport and 224 kms away from Mumbai Airport. It will almost take 2 hours to reach from Pune and 6 hours from Mumbai.
By Train - You can get on the train to reach the Nearest Railway Station that is Satara railway station and from there you can get in the local transport to reach Pratapgad Fort which is 81 Kms far from Satara.
