We have enjoyed the awesome veg breakfast and lunch... location is okay okay just for that giving 3 ????. They must take care of cleanliness of the toilets, restrooms, swimming pools. Parking is not managed adequately. Try to improve these.

Summary: Definitely a one time must visit place, but surely doesn't deserve a 5 star due to the horrible food, lunch specially. (Didn't have Breakfast or Dinner) The Goods: Drive to the place was good, except the last few 100 mtrs. The place itself felt very natural with rocks and trees everywhere, and felt really calm and soothing. The pool was huge and beautiful. Zipline was awesome and a must try for everyone going there. The Bads: The food is plain awful, the worst I ever had amongst any resort I ever visited. The pool is huge but not enough to hold holiday crowded, and can get very very crowded at times. If you are late to the place most of the equipment for the outdoor sports will be over, again this is true for a holiday not sure about normal days.

I had a mixed experience of the trip. Even though it was supposed to be a group no one booked the trip apart from me. I was both excited and worried about it, given that it was my first trek in Himalayas. The following things that I liked about the arrangement:1. bus from delhi to kasol and back was very comfortable.2. The arrangement of one night stay was good.3. Organisers were very friendly and helpful.Cons:1. I was given guide for only one way. The organisers mentioned that the other way is pretty simple (which was true) but at that point of time, I got worried.2. The organiser of campsite at kheerganga was weirdly unfriendly.I would not recommend in case you're planning for solo trip.

It’s okay not properly maintained and no managers to control. Dining Hall very crowded and food served late and have to wait for the dishes. Magic show and fire show good for kids . They enjoyed.

High Points - 1. The trek to Murkan Gudda and further, about 9 kms, waterfalls, walking amidst coffee bushes and pepper climbers 2. The place itself - nestled cozily on the foot hills of the western ghats, with coffee plantations around - great rural retreat as positioned Things to consider - Travel - Having your own vehicle makes it very convenient. We had taken a ksrtc bus to sakleshpur and then availed the cab service from there on. Journey is a little strenuous Camp site - also has cottages (preferable if there are women/ children) Staying in the tents means having to use common bathrooms Food - Decent (3/5) Crowd - We had a very unpleasant experience as there was a big group that created a ruckus for two days occupying most of the common area - playing songs very loudly well into the night - camp owner did not seem to mind at all Value for money - 3/5 Recommendation - Good place to go to as a small gang - with your own vehicle - Kind of crowd that lands up is quite unpredictable - if noise away from noise of the city isnt an issue at all, this is alright - an off season weekend should be good!

Value for money. Meets expectations not more than that.

Decent place to stay, washrooms are untidy but manageable. Minimal breakfast. Lunch was good. Best for an offbeat camp experience. Parking can be troublesome.

Mixed bag. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we went in the Diwali vacation on a weekday. While the location and surroundings are perfect, the ambience isn't what I actually thought it would be. Jazzy lights light up all the numerous campsites around the lake. The other problem is campers who still want to carry their noise and loud music around which went on till around 11 pm. The advertisement says mattresses are provided. However, these are foam sheets covered with a soft blanket. Reasonably comfortable though. The barbeque was alright. Food was simple and delicious. Toilets were clean. Even electricity was provided in the common seating area/dance floor where you could charge your devices. The hosts are really nice people who try their best to make you comfortable and try to cater to your needs. They provide certain basic stuff like badminton rackets, cricket bat and ball but strictly basic stuff. Now the major downside. You need to remember that most of these guys have converted their land near the lake into a campsite. Consequently, these campsites are touching each other and are open grounds. The locals got into a drunken brawl which went on till 1 am. Our campsite guys weren't a part of it but it was quite disturbing to hear the fantastic vocabulary with young kids. Then there was this raucous group of young guys who partied till the wee hours of the morning and of course with the choices of expletives and loud conversations. And then another drunk middle aged lady who got into a brawl with her campsite guys at 4 am in the morning as someone had stolen her beers. All this was not on our campsite but hardly at a distance of 20 metres from us. All this with a background of loud devotional music and bhajans from somewhere close which went on all night. I can't even imagine how bad it would be on a weekend. The tent allotted to us was supposed to be a family tent but quite a squeeze inspite of us all being thin. No swimming or boating allowed in the lake. However, I did see the drunk family take a dip and wash clothes in the morning. The trek mentioned in the itinerary is that they drop you to the beginning of the trail and then you are on your own. All in all you can get a camping experience of sleeping in a tent and not miss the noise and stress of city life. Not thrilled. Much room for improvement.

The trek is very scenic and I had 4 very nice days. However, it is not recommended for people with low physical conditions as it is not an easy trek. The first 2 days includes an ascent of 2000ft which is quite challenging due to the high altitude, even for trained people. Therefore, from our group of 8 people, only 3 made it to the top of Kuari pass. The nights are extremely cold and required several (wool) layers of cloth, so prepare well! The sleeping bag we got was very warm and suitable for cold conditions, however, our dining tent was very thin and had holes so that wind came in. So the time between sunset and sleeping was quite uncomfortable due to the cold. The management of the operator beforehand was not that good. We were told to bring many documents, which in the end were not needed. This was quite annoying because it consumed time. Also, the guest house we stayed in was a quite low budget and the communication was a bit slow. The company was not prepared properly for snow at this early time of the year, so we had to ask several times for proper snow gaiters or even a second guide. The guides that we had were all friendly, but very young (19-24 years). I wish there would have been at least one guide that would have been more experienced. Overall I enjoyed the trek due to the beauty of the mountains

The camp at Kasol, including the hospitality was good. Food was good too. But I had problems at Kheerganga. The camp was changed and there weren't enough blankets. The tent was towards an isolated corner and hence, it was extremely cold at night - couldn't sleep well. The host at the camp also came late. So, had dinner very late in the night. I'd rate 3 stars only for the Kasol camp in the entire package.

One of the best tours in the recent times. While it rained a lot during our stay spoiling our trek plans, the stay at the resort was a memorable one. Our rooms were facing the lush greeneries all around. It was a pleasant experience. We generally don’t prefer taking standard tours via websites; however, this was something that a friend recommended and indeed she was right. It was a pleasant and amazing experience. Pros: Nice place to stay. The food was tasty, even the vegetarian options. The surroundings were brilliant. Photogenic natural beauty all around. Cons: Frequent power cuts.

The only best part about this trip is that it offers an easy respite from the pollution and monotony. Otherwise, this trip is just fine. The resort is like any other resort. I guess city resorts are way better and nicer. That being said, the food was good.

I went on Kodacheri trek with a group of 20 people. Overall experience was good but weather plays an important role in the trekking. So plan wisely and other than that Thrillophilia was good at its role. Go for it.

***Review of incidents happened in 2016*** It took me a while to digest everything happened there, to skim it up and write about that incident called Golden Palms! I must say the property is well maintained, green and good, reachable from Bangalore city Best part of the place is big Pool for kids!!! That is something you will have to figure and find out. But then what??? That's it!!! Nothing comes to my mind when I am looking for another best thing of the resort. Not even a courteous smile from staff. Arrival: Let's start with the arrival. Where we reached(my family: parents, wife, me and my daughter), I was expecting to get a 3 course continental breakfast for my family to enjoy. I was expecting a promptly service with everyone one running around us and taking care of us rather than me running behind them to make arrangements. Those day dreams were falsified by their staff very easily. My imagination of their service comes from from what I have seen when I have gone to such places in a team/corporate outings(big money, you know). The only reason I could come up for this lackadaisical attitude was that there was no big money from my side to offer. With just 4 adults and 1 Kids, they saw me as a bad return on investment of their time and effort and didn't even offer a warm welcome to the resort. Infact the tone of the guy at the entrance was, If I can explain that situation correctly was like, asserting me as If I am trying to enter a high profile wedding in search of a free meal. "You haven't booked in advance right, no online booking right!!!" Just to take an entry to the resort, that guy made us walk all the way from reception to their restaurant which is like a kilometer away in this Bangalore summer heat of 2016. I am mentioning because my parents too were with me in walking all that way just to pay the money of our arrival in this trap. Breakfast: After paying the hefty amount of a day out package for 4 adults(around 10K), breakfast wasn't served. They had balls to tell me that breakfast is over and you can order whatever you want from the menu, of-course at a price. I had no other option but to order food for my family, which in turn I did and I am going to regret that decision forever in my life. Have anybody ever paid 950/- rupees for 2 plates of IdaliWada and Dosa.(200/- IdaliWada, 250/- Dosa). I did!!! To exacerbate things here, they were certainly not the best idaliwada and dosa I have had during my tenure in South India, in fact they were more close to worst. Swimming Pool: Apart from the pool the only other thing i like(not he amenity, person) and he was the guard. He wore cool shades, pants and shoes and was all day roaming with that look probably thinking some cool chick with come and hit him and ask him to join his room in the night. Shades explains he had lusty eyes and wants to stare exposed skin in the pool without being noticed by owners of those skins and their beau. Attitude was sky-high, my mom was trying to make my daughter feel good about pool and was little drenched in a attempt to do was asked to stay away from the pool because she wearing saree. Mind you she didn't come in the pool. Another Loot was I wasn't carrying nylon and for a tiny swimsuit for me they happily charged me 350/- and for kids and women the amount of more than 600/-. Just to get towels, we were told to wait for 10 minutes. Those 10 minutes lasted for 20 and meanwhile I used my own hand-towel to cleanup, was ready to leave the place. The Money and It's worth: To put it right, only thing I enjoyed is pool, because my daughter enjoyed it. She really liked it as it was her first time in the pool and like us, she too was suffering from this Bangalore heat. So that;s it then. "NOT AT ALL WORTH" period. Paying 2000/- per person for a pool, food and greenery is a very bad choice to burn your hard earned money, it puts a big whole on your pocket with nothing to offer in return to ameliorate your pain. Contrary to the price i paid , I found offers a portal offering the same package for 1600/- per person. Resort didn't bother to offer such discount and din't even ask me to provide any discount being vegetarian. This shows their attitude and kind of service they offered. They simply ignored us just like another goats come for religious sacrifice(PUN INTENDED). Just another thing I noticed was most of staff members were holding up that attitude of "EMPLOYEES OF THE PRESTIGIOUS RESORT" on their faces all day long. My best explanation of that expression is F**K OFF!!!

It was a great day. Food was fantastic. The singers in the first half were very good. Some public also tried. More such people should be encouraged to have more fun. Being sunday the rain dance was over crowded. Being in the serene place the owners should reduce the carbon foot print by avoiding paper cups used for drinking water/sambar/coffee/tea etc, plastic scoops used for ice creams, disposable paper plates used for bajji in the high tea. People are found to be having lot food in their plates more than they can have resulting wastage of lot of food. Hope the organisers are composting this organic waste than throwing to the landfill as a form of mixed waste.

excellent Food quality and variety. Bit disappointed in terms of activity list.. Hudson need to update activity list to match experience expected. However there are many places to capture your good time.I recommend others to visit this place along with friends and family to enjoy food and ambient.
