Trip To Madidi National Park In Bolivia

Itinerary

• Day 1 -

  Get picked up from your accommodation and transferred to La Paz airport.

  Catch an early flight to Rurrenabaque.

  On arrival at Rurrenabaque get transferred to the hotel.

  Take proper rest or spend the day at leisure.

  Stay overnight in the lodge.

• Day 2 -

  Start the tour at around 09:00 AM. Board a boat and traverse along the Beni and Tuichi rivers for 3 hours.

  Then you will reach a local community where you can witness the production of 'miel de cana', a type of honey made from sugarcane.

  Continue your boat trip to an eco lodge near Amazon rainforest. After check-in, have lunch and relax by lying on hammocks.

  Later, head out for a nature walk along the jungle trail with a guide.

  Spot different species of animals such as spider, howler monkeys, wild pigs and numerous birds.

  Return to the lodge and have dinner. Then retire for the night.

• Day 3 -

  Start the day at around 05:00 AM. Walk along another trail near the lodge and experience the awakening of Amazon rain forest.

  Head back to the lodge after some time, have breakfast and participate in some workshops conducted to learn about the local Tacana way of life.

  You will get training to craft rings and necklaces from natural jungle materials, and also how to grind traditional rice or learn how to use a bow and arrow for hunting.

  Post lunch, set out for a 2 to 3 hour long hike to the deep forest, find rare animals roaming around.

  Instead of going back to the eco lodge, you will be staying in tent or under a mosquito net with a rain proof tarp.

  Dinner will be served by the light of candle in the jungle. Sleep in the accompaniment of the nocturnal noises around you.

• Day 4 -

  Post breakfast you will visit the Farallon of the Macaws, place for nesting and feeding of guacamayos and parrots.

  It is also one of the best places to watch and enjoy the beautiful view of the Amazon rainforest.

  Indulge in building callapo, a raft of the Amazonian tribes and sail back to the lodge.

  Take your belongings from the lodge and then return to Rurrenabaque by a boat.

  From there, you will get a return transfer to the airport in La Paz. The experience ends here.
