Doi Inthanon National Park

Doi Inthanon National Park is one of the most popular National Parks in Chiang Mai for its spectacular natural beauty, remote villages, excellent viewpoints, the hundreds of species of birds and the cool weather all year round.
Doi Inthanon has some of the most fantastic waterfalls and the most popular amongst them is the Mae Ya Waterfall. The seasonal attraction of this Park is the Siamese Sakura Blossoms that bloom in late January painting the whole area pink.

Huai Nam Dang National Park

Huai Nam Dang National Park is a beautiful park famous for its splendid scenery and rugged mountain ranges along the Thai-Burmese Border.
The Park attracts a lot of tourists who visit to enjoy the enchanting sunrises here when the peaks of Doi Chiang Dao Mountain emerges from the sea of mist that surrounds this surreal place. This Park also offers an excellent backdrop for photographers.
Doi Chang Viewpoint, Huai Nam Dang Waterfall, Tha Pai Hot Spring and rafting on Mae Taeng River are the major highlights of this National Park.

Doi Suthep-Pui National Park

Spread across the range of mountains to the west of Chiang Mai, Doi Suthep Pui National Park is famous for the iconic Doi Suthep Temple.
One of the most beautiful attractions of this Chiang Mai National Park is the magnificent Phuping Winter Palace near the top of the mountain and a small hill tribe village Baan Doi Pui.
There is also a campsite and a coffee house near the Hmong village where you can rest and enjoy a cup of refreshing coffee.

Ob Khan National Park

Ob Khan National Park is closest to the city and one of the best National Parks in Chiang Mai for kids to enjoy a day out.
The Park is set in a small gorge with excellent picnic spots around. There are many wading and bathing pools by the river and a great hiking trail leading to a mix of waterfalls, caves and picturesque views.
This Park is great for bird watchers too. Adventurers can also try out the rocky rapids for river rafting.

Si Lanna National Park

Si Lanna National Park is one of the largest National Parks in Chiang Mai and its most popular attraction is the Mae Ngat Dam.
The Dam offers a variety of adventure and fun activities such as kayaking, water obstacle courses, rafting and also a raft house accommodation.
Also popular is the Bua Thong Waterfall which has mineral deposits along its path making it sticky and possible for people to climb up the waterfall without falling.

Ob Luang National Park

Ob Luang National Park is one of the best National Parks in Chiang Mai for nature lovers. The beautiful park is set amidst stunning landscape and winding rivers.
The trail begins with the crossing of a small and narrow wooden footbridge high over the Chaem Gorge. The Park also has some prehistoric rock paintings as well as an ancient burial site belonging to the Stone Age.
Other attractions of the Park are the deep canyon, Tupu Caves, Mae Tia Waterfalls and the Hot Springs.

Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park

This National Park is the best Chiang Mai Park for hiking, day outs and camping trips. The Park is about 200 Km from Chiang Mai and has many attractions such as the Pha Hom Pok Mountain perfect for hiking, then the Huai Born Cave, Pong Nam Dung Waterfall, Na Ma Urn Waterfall, and Tard Luang Waterfall.
The base of Pha Hom Pok Mountain also has a campsite for trekkers. The Park is also home to several migratory birds and the wonderful Blue Peacock.

Khun Khan National Park

Khun Khan National Park is one of the most fascinating National Parks in Chiang Mai with its rugged mountain ranges covered in tropical forests.
Doi Pung Kia is the highest mountain offering an excellent view of the surrounding area. The best attractions here are the Samoeng Forest Viewpoint, Tham Luang Mae Cave with its stalactites and stalagmites and the seven-step Huai Mae Na Poe Waterfall.
The Park does not have any accommodation facilities but you can bring your own tent and food and set up camp here.

Mae Ping National Park

Mae Ping National Park with its rugged terrain, beautiful forested mountains and winding rivers is one of the most spectacular Chiang Mai National Park.
Bhumibol Dam is a major attraction here with many recreational activities available. There are floating rafts right in the middle of the Dam and also boat trips up the river for some excellent sightseeing.
Koh Luang Waterfalls, Yang Wee Cave with its stalactites and stalagmites and Thung Kik are other attractions of the Park.

Khun Chae National Park

Khun Chae National Park has an enthralling wealth of flora ranging of varieties of bamboo forests, pine forests and rainforests. Its major attractions are the Mae Tho Waterfall with its seven levels of falls and the highest fall being 40 meters high.
Khun Chae Waterfall is another two-level falls with campsites set up near it as well. A Buddhist Monk dwelling and Mae Chang Khao Reservoir are the other attractions here.

Lam Nam Kok National Park

Lam Nam Kok National Park is one of the best National Parks in Chiang Mai for those interested in nature and plant study.
Attractions in this Park are Khun Kon Waterfall with more than 70 meters in height and flows in a clear stream all year long, Pong Phra Bat Waterfall with its ice-cold water and the Huai Mak Liam Hot Springs.
Mekong River and Mae Kok River offer a perfect setting for river rafting and scenic boat rides as well.

Pha Daeng National Park

Pha Daeng National Park is relatively more remote and home to a variety of flora and fauna. The area is mainly made up of mountain ranges with magnificent views of the nearby areas and many cascading waterfalls and meandering rivers.
Si Sangwan, Huai Hok and Pang Tong are the popular waterfalls here and Huai Cha Khan caves, Doi Pha Tang are the best places to find the rare Siamese Sakura blossoms.
Campsites and bungalows are also available but on advance bookings only.

Mae Tho National Park

Mae Tho National Park is one of the most scenic parks in the area offering several cascading waterfalls, enchanting caves and beautiful mountains to scale.
Thum Luang Mae Tum Cave is a magnificent limestone cave with some spectacular stalagmite that looks like pillars of a temple. Another attraction is the river cruise along the Mae Tum River. Mae Jam River is excellent for white water rafting as well.

Mae Takhrai National Park

Mae Takhrai National Park is a wonderful Park with arresting mountain ranges, scenic surroundings and several natural attractions.
The Park is also famous for the Flight of the Gibbon Zipline Adventure which attracts tourists and visitors all year round. The Muang On Cave is vast and holds many ancient Buddhist antiques.
The village of Baan Mae Kampong is surrounded by tea and coffee plantations and visitors can enjoy excellent accommodation facilities, trekking, nature photography and fresh mountain air.
