You can also hire a scooter as well to reach the forest area and proceed to the pool.
Although the Emerald Pool remains open to visitors from 8 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening, it is best to reach the pool during the morning hours on weekdays as the place becomes crowded after 12 pm and during weekends. The Emerald Pool is open to visitors throughout the year.

1. Hot Spring: Take a dip in the nearby hot spring where naturally hollowed-out ‘bathtubs’ in the smooth stone have been filled to the brim, with water rich in minerals coming from thermal springs. The mineral salts present in the hot spring can provide relief to a number of ailments, such as rheumatism, skin problems etc.
2. Blue Pool: Located 600m further upstream from the Emerald Pool is the Blue Pool with its magical water. The pool is much hotter, being closer to the source and is surrounded by quicksand, making it unsuitable for bathing. 1. For hiking through the forest trail, put on comfortable walking shoes or sneakers.
2. Be careful while entering the Emerald Pool as the limestone rocks are very slippery. You may opt to wear bathing footwear or waterproof shoes during your swim.
3. Carry your swimwear if you want to go for a swim in the pool.
4. The natural pool has no changing rooms so you will need to wear swimwear under your clothes and also bring your own towel.
5. Apply sunscreen liberally to prevent your face from getting sunburnt.

7. Toilets are located at the park office, which is at a distance of half a mile from the pool, so adjust your timings accordingly.
8. Food is not allowed inside and all shops and eateries are located at the park office.
