Arc De Triomphe

Location: Western end of Champs-Élysées at Place Charles de Gaulle
Entry Fee: Entry is free for children and students of 17 years or lesser and goes to a maximum of € 8 for adults.

Notre Dame Cathedral

Conciergerie

The Guard’s room and hall of the soldiers are a special attraction of this palace. This is one of the few Paris monuments which served as a major prison during the French revolution.

Opera Garnier

Pantheon

Les Invalides

However, this one of its kind, among Paris monuments is pretty interesting because the French army, to date, uses a part of this ancient complex as their base. This building is the living example of the ingenuity of architects, Liberal Bruant and Jules Hardouin Mansart. The Dome of Napoleon under a golden cupola of the mesmerizing Dome Church remains the showstopper.
There is also a lovely lawn which was beautifully landscaped in the 18th century, overlooking the Seine River, in the northern part of Les Invalides looks astounding and is a great place to click Insta-ready pictures.

Palace of Versailles

This is located a little towards the outskirts of Paris and the most interesting part is this used to be a hunting lodge of King Louis XIII from 1601 to 1643. This is one of the most spectacular monuments in Paris which has a prolific history. Later, Louis XIII’s son, also known as the “sun king” chose to make Versailles the prime seat of the French rulers and the Government. Get ready to behold the king’s bedroom, the lovely halls and a lot more to get awestruck.

Place Vendome

Louis XIV to show his prowess and wealth and he chose this place to set up a statue which was later destroyed by Napoleon and instead a bronze column which was made from 1200 enemy canons was installed. Today you will see a perfect blend of ancient and the modern in this beautiful square.

Grand Palais

This excellent specimen of modern-day architecture was built in 1900, the purpose of building it was the Exposition Universelle. There is a lot inside this huge structure and some parts are meant for children where they can have fun and learn at the same time such as the Palais de la Découverte which is a museum.
