Dabdaba Falls

Jai Vilas Palace
An amazing artwork of pink stone, the Jai Vilas Palace was built in 1941 and is one of the most beautiful architectural places to see in Jawhar. This beautiful palace was built by Raje Yashwant Rao Mukhane and the quarry from where the beautiful pink stone was extracted was closed soon after the construction of this majestic palace was completed, which to date remains hidden.

The Palace also has a lush green garden which is laden with beautiful cashew trees. The Royal artworks and furniture with intricate artwork of that era is still preserved within the palace till date, which is a great point of interest for all the visitors. This majestic palace has over 50 bedrooms and has been a shooting location for a number of popular Bollywood movies.

Sunset Point
One of the most beautiful places to visit in Jawhar to admire a beautiful sunset. It is a perfect place for families and also has a small playground with play equipment for children. One can also plan a picnic at this beautiful spot.

The spot is situated at the top of a small plateau and provides some of the best views of the lush green valley downhill. Shirpamal
Dating back to as far back as the 3rd Century, Shirpamal is one of the most iconic historical places to see in Jawhar. This very historical site belonged to one of the most important emperors of the Maratha Kingdom, Chhatrapati Shivaji. The army of Shivaji halted at his place on their way to Surat. The place is marked with a red arch and a plaque mentioning the stay of Shivaji at this spot.

It was initially made on the hilltop to keep an eye on the enemy and to protect the army from any kind of attack. However, over time, this iconic historical site has become a popular tourist attraction as it provides a beautiful aerial view of the whole city of Jawhar. One of the most important places to visit in Jawhar, Bhopagat Fort is one of the most significant historical spots in this small town. This fort was also built by the great Maratha emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji and is symbolic of the Maratha Kingdom. The fort is known to be carved out of dilapidated rocks and has mysterious dark inner chambers. Chhatrapati Shivaji is known to hold various meetings at this very fort.

Another legend also marks the visit of Hindu god, Lord Ram, along with Goddess Sita and his 2 sons, Luv and Kush to this place. Their visit to this place is believed to be marked by 4 footprints present at the place, even today. Due to this very reason, the fort also attracts a huge number of Hindu Devotees on special occasions.

Khadkhad Dam

It is a cascading waterfall with a huge pond forming at the base of the waterfall, where you can even plan to take a dip if the season allows.

However, the place is not guarded and the water is very deep in some of the places. Therefore, it is highly advisable to follow safety measures and visit this place only under the guidance of a locally known person.

Kal Mandavi Waterfall
Another hidden waterfall that lies in the lap of the beautiful Jawhar city. This beautiful fall is not yet commercialized, therefore; it remains preserved in its natural beauty to date. The way to the falls is actually a bit challenging and will surely provide you with a lot of fun and adventure. The fall flows through a series of stepped cascades and reaches the base by forming 2 beautiful paths.

One can either walk down the main road to the base of the falls or hike down from the unconventional path from the tops of the fall. This place is an amazing natural wonder and is surrounded by beautiful views. You would not find any shops or restaurants near the fall, therefore; it is recommended to carry your very own food and other necessities.
