What to Pack for Cappadocia in Winter?

- Boots
Shoes must be replaced with boots in this activity as the temperature loves being uncertain and snow can fall out of the sky at any given minute making it a possibility of your landing being in a snow-covered area. These boots then would help you in walking over the snow.
- Layering
In order to avoid falling sick in this season, add layers of good woolen clothing that can save from those freezing winters with coats or jackets made of fur or woolen materials that offer you protection.
- Accessorize
Mufflers, scarves, wool socks, winter hats and ear caps. All these things might seem a tad bit obvious to carry during this season but are also often forgotten. These little things offer protection on areas which we might have neglected during our packing for this season
- Moisturize
Lastly, so many of us tend to forget that the winter winds soak up moisture from our skin and end up making it dryer. Thus, it's vital for us to moisturize it from time to time so that it doesn’t become dry, red or itchy.
Go on a Brisk Winter Hike in Cappadocia

- Red Valley - This valley must be viewed during sunset as its vibrant red color blazes in sunlight, and people drive straight up till the sunset viewpoint sometimes just to chill at a cafe located there. It’s also connected with Rose Valley from one of its inside routes and takes about 15 to 20 minutes by car.
- Rose Valley - This is an incredibly unique area where there are sharp ridges which form a corrugated landscape. When one ridge is in the sun, the other one is in shadows accentuating its sharpness and scale with sandstones gleaming pink with each sunset. This one takes over an hour but if you’re also going for Red Valley that is conjoined with this one then, do have 3 hours on your plate, bare minimum.
- Red Valley Flag Viewpoint - This spot is a hike up the hill behind the viewpoint, located behind cafes and is a hill with a flag on top. This would take a bit more time as you’re crossing over the Red Valley and then reaching there which will take more than 20 mins even by a car.
