About Soganli Valley

The rock churches here date back to the 9th century as was used by the Byzantines as secret places to stay protected from enemy threats. Thanks to the tourism boom that has happened here and it has empowered the local women of the valley to make some authentic local women hand-make “Soğanlı dolls” which you could buy as a souvenir.
