Woburn Abbey and Gardens Overview

Woburn Abbey is the home of the 15th Duke and Duchess of Bedford which apart from large houses have extensive gardens, Woburn Safari and a Deer Park. The estate, opened for the public as a museum, has very pleasing scenery that enlist it amongst the must places to go in Milton Keynes.

Woburn Abbey and Gardens occupies the eastern part of the village in Woburn which the Earls and Dukes of Bedford have been calling home for almost 400 years. Although the 15th dukes still reside in this beautiful and extensive Abbey, it’s open for the general public on particular days.

The parts of the Abbey open to the public are the historic landscape gardens, Woburn Safari Park and deer park. As you explore the place, you will get to know about different interesting stories of people who had their hands in shaping the history of the Abbey as well as the nation. Inside the abbey, there is also a collection of art which displays the 250 painting collection of the Duke of Bedford.
