UNDER THE SUN AQUARIUM

Situated in the ‘City of Lakes’, Udaipur, Under the Sun Aquarium allows you to witness the fascinating underwater world closely. It is an underground aquarium as well as a gallery which was opened to the public in 2017. There are more than 150 species of marine creatures along with several 3D art pieces on display. Some of the sea creatures that you can spot include archer fish, puffer fish, mormyrus rume, albino frogs, Indonesian crabs and fire belly newts. 

Under the Sun Aquarium offers plenty of attractions and activities that you can explore for a wholesome experience. You can attend the interactive Touch Pools session where you can touch and feed the various colourful fishes. There are also educational presentations by the caretakers who talk about how they maintain the tanks, feed the fish and how they are taken care of. You can also enjoy a relaxing fish spa or get yourself clicked in the 3D Photography room. Another highlight is the OMG Tank which allows you to witness what is under the sea without actually getting inside the water.

By Car: Under the Sun Aquarium is located around 5 km from the city centre of Udaipur. You can reach the aquarium in approximately 15 minutes via the Ashok Nagar Main Road. You can easily get a taxi or an Uber that will directly drop you off at your destination. 

By Bus: One of the most cost-effective ways to get around Udaipur is by bus. Several buses operate from Central Bus Stand Udaipur to Under the Sun Aquarium. Travelling by local buses not only saves your money but also allows you to experience the local lifestyle of Udaipur.

By Auto: One of the most convenient ways to reach the aquarium is by an auto-rickshaw. Autos are easily available from any corner of the city which will drop you at your destination. You can either opt for a shared auto or book the auto for yourself.
