  • By Car: Jagdish temple is located at a distance of around 5 km from the city centre of Udaipur. You can easily reach the temple in approximately 16 minutes via the Sardar Patel Marg route. You can either take a local taxi or take your own private vehicle and enjoy a self-drive to the temple. For a more budget-friendly option, you can also opt for the shared taxis that will directly drop you off at the temple. 
  • By Bus: The nearest bus stop to Jagdish Temple is Fatehpura Chouraha station. There are several city buses that pass through this station. Once you reach the bus stop, you can enjoy a short 2 minute walk towards the temple.

Marvel at the Architecture

Jagdish Temple is an architectural wonder built by the Mewar dynasty that still remains intact after all these years. It is an Indo-Aryan structure which has two huge elephant statues at the entrance to welcome the visitors. The temple includes intricate carvings, towering pillars, huge halls, decorated ceilings, painted walls and vibrant colours. 

The main temple is a 79 ft tall, three storeyed structure, adorned with statues of dancers, elephants, musicians and horsemen. Inside the main temple there is an idol of Lord Vishnu which is surrounded by several small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Ganesha, Sun God and Goddess Shakti.
