  • By Car: The Scotch Whisky Experience is 1.5 km from Edinburgh's city centre, about a 7-minute drive via the A7 route. Parking is limited in the city centre, but the closest car park is Castle Terrace, followed by a short uphill walk to the attraction.
  • By Bus: Take a bus to the George IV Bridge station, which is 0.5 km away. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to The Scotch Whisky Experience. Local buses include Lothian services 41, 42, 67, and 6.
  • By Train: Take a train to Waverley Station, which is 1 km from the venue. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to The Scotch Whisky Experience, or a short taxi ride if preferred.
  • By Tram: Edinburgh Trams run from the airport to York Place. Disembark at Princes Street, then walk 15 minutes up The Mound to reach the attraction.
  • By Foot: If you're staying nearby, enjoy a scenic 15-minute walk from Edinburgh's city centre up to The Scotch Whisky Experience.

You can visit The Scotch Whisky Experience any time of the year. Visit on a weekday, preferably Monday through Thursday for a more relaxed visit however avoid the busy weekends. Arrive right when it opens at 10 AM as early visits ensure a serene experience with fewer crowds.

  • Prepare to pay with British pounds as other currencies are not accepted as only GBP Sterling is accepted.
