The Museo Revello de Toro, a museum dedicated to the famous Malaga-born portrait painter and figurative artist, is presently located in the former residence of the sculptor Pedro de Mena. It has six exhibition halls and originally opened its doors in 2010. The Félix Revello de Toro show, which features 116 of the artist's pieces in the first and second, includes Elements of Survival (1950), My Mother (1950), and Self-portrait (1990).
The Felix Revello de Toro museums, which feature 142 works by the Malaga-born artist Felix Revello de Toro (born in 1926) and 104 of which are part of the Museum's permanent collection, first opened their doors in late 2010 in the restored home of sculptor Pedro de Mena. The six rooms are spread out across three stories and arranged around a central patio.
They display the works of a painter well known for his portraits and figurative paintings, as well as oil paintings and sketches that he has given to his hometown. The edifice, one of the few remaining specimens of Malagueo architecture from the 17th century, is lovely with its Tuscan marble columns and authentic woodwork.
Revello's life and still lifes are explored in the first two rooms. with paintings of his parents, wife, and daughter, as well as a 1990 self-portrait titled Autoretrato. His still-life paintings, particularly Elementos de pervivencia, are as potent (1978).
