  • By Light Rail: Take a light rail to 26th St & Poplar St which is 0.5 mi away from the location. You can reach Philadelphia Museum of Art from the light rail station with a 13-minute walk

Best Time To Visit

Philadelphia Museum of Art is open year-round from Thursday to Monday from 10 am to 5 pm (Friday: 8:45 pm) except July 4, Thanksgiving & Christmas.

  • Best Season: The spring ( March to May) and fall seasons (September to November) are the best seasons to visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 
  • Best Day of the Week: The best days of the week to visit the Rodin Museum are Mondays and Thursdays when there is less crowd.

  • Follow visiting guidelines including safety and health protocols while exploring the museum.
  • Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the museum.
  • You are allowed to take personal candid-style photos in the permanent collection galleries but you will not be allowed to use flash, tripods, lighting setups, or selfie sticks. 
  • Kids can enter the museum for free, however, an adult should hold them to ensure that they do not run around.
  • You will be able to enjoy the free wifi available for the public inside the museum.
  • You must maintain a safe distance of 18 inches from the artwork to not damage them.

Some of the notable works include a Korean celadon vase, and a Thai sandstone figure of Avalokiteshvara.
