The Rocky Statue is a monumental tourist attraction in Philadelphia. It was created to honour Rocky, the iconic hero. This displays him with arms over his head and represents a time when he was at the peak of his career. It was earlier installed at the Spectrum Sports Complex but returned to the Philadelphia Museum of Art later on. Today, tourists from across the world visit and get clicked in front of the statue. They mimic the famous pose of Rocky Balboa to capture a beautiful memory. To begin the sightseeing, you can climb the 72 stone stairs and turn the visit into a hike.
As you reach the top, you will also get a scenic view of the city skyline and Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The base of the Rocky Statue also has a plaque which takes you through the significance of its history.
