NATIONAL EMERGENCY SERVICES MUSEUM

When in Sheffield, don’t miss out on a visit to the National Emergency Services Museum, one of the largest museums of its kind in the world, that dates back to 1898. It is also one of the very first purpose built Police, Fire and Ambulance Stations in the region, which is home to more than 45 emergency services vehicles, from horse-drawn fire engines and ambulances, to mines rescue cars as well as police vehicles.

Ranked as the largest combined emergency services museum in the world, this museum is housed inside one of the first purpose-built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance stations in Yorkshire, and dates back to the year 1898. 

There are more than 45 vintage vehicles here, consisting of fire engines, police cars, ambulances, a RNLI Boat, mines rescue vehicles and more. Additionally, you can also find the uniforms and equipment related to emergency services in this museum.
