GRAVES PARK

Spend some time exploring Graves Park, known as one of the best tourist places to visit in Sheffield, and the biggest park in the city. Complete with open spaces and dense woodlands, the Graves Park also has several small rivulets and streams flowing through it, among other attractions. 

Said to be the biggest park and public space in the southwest area of Sheffield, Graves Park was developed between 1926 and 1936. It was developed to protect the 1000-year old woodlands here fromthe construction of buildings. The park has a mixture of dense verdant woodland areas as well as open spaces, and also has several streams and other attractions within it. 

Furthermore, there are a wide array of facilities inside the park premises, including two playgrounds for children, a café as well as the Graves Park Animal Farm. It is in this animal farm where you can find animals like Tamworth Pigs, Highland cattle, Jacob Sheep and more, along with donkeys, goats, waterfowl, etc. There are sporting facilities as well, such as a practice golf course, bowling greens and several tennis courts. The northern side of the park has a large open area, with two cricket pitches and 10 football pitches.
