Known to be one of the most important attractions in the city, the Museum of Himachal culture and folk art was set up in 1998. It features a range of artefacts native to the state and are sourced from different parts of the state since the 1990s. From research scholars to tourists, this museum continues to attract a lot of people.
The museum was founded by J R Sood who travelled across the state to study and gather rare antique figures. The best part of this museum is that you cannot find the kind of artefacts available elsewhere in the state. From traditional clothes, utensils, and musical instruments, this museum also creates awareness about the cultural ancient traditions of Himachal.
The museum is located close to the Hidimbi Devi temple in Manali and continues to attract visitors. All the artefacts continue to talk about the handicraft expertise of the people of Himachal. Experience the breathtaking mountains and serene valleys with our Himachal packages.
