As we know by now Rameswaram is an ancient place with many incredible stories and artifacts, its sacred borders hold within themselves a place called Lakshmana Theertham, and is one of the sacred theerthams here. This sanctuary is committed to Ruler Lakshmana and it's his mighty stories and legends that depict his vigor and God like status.
It has been built within the Dravidian fashion of engineering which has an appealing structure with carved columns portraying statues of divinities and occasions from Ramayana. There are many marble statues of Master Lakshmana that have been intently carved in the interior of the sanctuary which speaks volumes of the dedication put into the building of this temple.
