JADA TIRTHAM

The heavenly land of Rameshwaram is inhabited around 64 Tirtham, which is found in and around the island. These tirthams have been said in ancient manuscripts written in “Devnagri” which are religious Hindu sacred writings. Most of them are related to the heavenly content of Ramayana.

Tourists in Rameshwaram visit and bathe in this divine water to give penance for their past sins. Jada Theertham is one interesting theertham in Rameswaram. Jada Tirtham is found on the way to Dhanuskodi, which is another popular place to see in Rameshwaram.
