Kongdori is a picturesque bowl-shaped valley located between Gulmarg and the majestic Apharwat mountain range in Kashmir. How To Reach Kongdori

By Gondola: Upon reaching Gulmarg, purchase a ticket for the gondola ride, which will take you directly to Kongdori. The gondola journey offers an unparalleled view of Kashmir's snow-capped mountains and lush valleys. The gondola covers a distance of 2.5 kilometres in 2 stages. In Stage 1, it departs from Gulmarg to Kongdori Station in 9 minutes. Then, in Stage 2, it reaches Kongdori Mountain from Kongdori Station in 12 minutes.

Best Time To Visit Kongdori

• Best Season: March to June is the ideal time to visit Kongdori, as the weather is pleasantly mild, perfect for outdoor activities. During these months, the valley is in full bloom, and the temperatures range between 15°C to 30°C. They offer a refreshing escape from the summer heat of the plains. This period showcases Kongdori's beauty, making activities like gondola rides more enjoyable.
• Best Day of the Week: To fully enjoy Kongdori without the hustle of crowds, weekdays are recommended. These days allow for a more immersive experience in nature. Weekdays ensure fewer queues for the Gulmarg Gondola as well. 
• Best Time of the Day: The best time to visit Kongdori is in the morning. To witness the valley in its most serene and beautiful state, arriving early, around 09:00 a.m., is advisable. This timing beats the crowds and captures the morning light perfectly. The temperature is cooler, making your ride up the gondola and other activities more enjoyable.
