Annai Indira Gandhi Street Bridge is one of the longest bridges in southern India. Built over the sea this gigantic structure provides a network for town dwellers from the Rameswaram island to the terrain. It is 7 km from the Rameswaram town and is additionally called the Pamban bridge since it is found close to Pamban.
This tourist attraction in Rameswaram, called “The Pamban Street Bridge” interfaces the National Thruway (NH 49) with the Rameswaram island. It stands on the Palk strait and between the shores of Mandapam and Pamban. It stands parallel to the Pamban Rail Bridge.
