Opened for public in the year 2007, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden was built with the aim of improving floriculture as well as tourism in Kashmir. The initiative proved to be a huge success and in the year 2017, this beautiful garden had its name among the world’s 5 best tulip gardens. Every spring, usually from late March to early April, the garden bursts into a riot of colors as thousands of tulips bloom, creating a picturesque spectacle. Visitors can stroll along meticulously landscaped pathways adorned with meticulously arranged beds of tulips in various hues, from deep crimson to delicate pastels. The garden also features other ornamental flowers, adding to its allure.
