HOU FENG BIKEWAY

Cycling along the HouFeng Bikeway is a great way to explore the scenic countryside of Taichung. This bike path was built along the Old Mountain Railway Line and it goes past an iron bridge that crosses the Dajia River. The path continues through the old railway tunnel which is the highlight of the ride and one of the interesting places to visit in Taichung.

Along the Bikeway, the scenery varies continuously with glimpses of natural sceneries, majestic mountains and of course the iron bridge and the tunnel. Rental bikes are available near the Bikeway and round trip cycling time takes about 1 to 2 hours. The HouFeng Bikeway also connects with the Dongfeng Bicycle GreenWay forming an 18 km long cycling route.
