HUANSHAN TRIBAL VILLAGE

Huanshan Tribal Village is a picturesque hamlet surrounded by towering verdant mountains and incredible scenery. This beautiful village is the perfect setting to study the indigenous tribes of Taiwan and their unique ethnic cultural heritage. The tribe inhabiting the Huanshan Tribal Village are known as the Atayals.

The village is famous for its amazing scenery, meandering streams, picture-perfect surroundings and delicious local grown fruits such as persimmon pear, peach and apple. The Atayal traditional weaving craft is diligently followed by women of this tribe and they weave baby linen, no button men’s shirts, aprons, blankets and several other things. The highlight of the visit to this tribal village are the Mazu Temple and Squaw Mountain.
