This lake is believed to have been into existence for 275 years and was constructed by the then ruler of Nagpur city - Chand Sultan. He called it Jumma Talab, which then changed to Shukrawari Talao during British rule.
At the center of the lake are Shiva temple and a small garden which can be reached through boating. The lake looks its best post-sunset when the reflection of lights in the water manifold its beauty multiple times.
