• By Air: The nearest airport to Fotu La Pass is Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, Ladakh. Located about 126.5 kilometres from Fotu La Pass, it is well-connected with major cities like Delhi, Srinagar, and Jammu. From the airport, you can rent a taxi or take a bus to reach Fotu La Pass, which will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.

• By Road: Fotu La Pass is located on the Srinagar-Leh highway in the Zanskar mountain ranges of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is 128.6 kilometres from Leh, which is accessible via the Leh-Srinagar Highway (NH1). The journey from Leh city centre to Fotu La Pass takes about 3 to 4 hours, depending on stops and weather conditions.

• By Bus: Buses from Leh to Kargil pass through Fotu La, offering a cost-effective option for travellers. These are run by JKSRTC (Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation) and private operators.
