FORT ST GEORGE MUSEUM

The Fort St. George Museum, located in Chennai, India, is a prominent historical site that showcases the rich history and legacy of British colonial rule in the region. Established within the premises of Fort St. George, the museum was opened to the public on January 31, 1948. 

The fort itself, constructed in 1644 by the British East India Company, is the first English fortress in India and serves as a significant landmark in the history of British colonial expansion.
