Exploratorium Overview

The Exploratorium is located in San Francisco, California and is a public learning laboratory that explores the world through the lenses of science, art, and human perception. It is the brainchild of Frank Oppenheimer who viewed art and science as complementary ways of exploring the world. He pioneered the idea of incorporating both into the Exploratorium through hundreds of exhibits which are on display.

The exhibits at Exploratorium are all interactive and you can play with them. Have fun touching a tornado, dancing with your own shadow, stopping time, breaking light apart and doing much more as you navigate the six galleries of the museum. There are more than 650 interactive exhibits in the galleries which are both indoor and outdoor. You must also journey through the world-famous Tactile Dome and spend some time exploring in darkness.

A truly educational experience. We were here on a Thursday night and were lucky to witness a program that is organized by the museum where a beautiful blend of art and science is showcased. Thank you Thrillophilia for making this possible for us.

Though this place was not in my mind duing our tour to San Francisco, a friend asked me to take my children to this place once. That’s when I booked the tickets on Thrillophilia and went there. True that, it was a brilliant experience taking an educational tour of the place.
