Know Before You Go for Gir Jungle Safari

The safari will typically last for 3 hours.
Please note that the safari operates in two slots from 6:45 AM to 9:45 AM and 3 PM to 6 PM during winters (16th October to 28th/29th February) and 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM during summers (1st March to 15th June).
Please note that Gir Jungle Safari is closed from 16th June to 15th October every year.
It is advised that you arrive at the reception centre at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time of activity.
Kindly adhere to the activity timings as the safari is strictly time constrained.
Pay attention to the instructions of your guide. Do not step out of the jeep unless instructed.
Kindly keep a safe distance from wildlife and observe silence at all times to make the most of your experience. Avoid playing any kind of musical instruments.
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes (lightweight, neutral-coloured, and breathable) in the colours of beige, khaki, or green during the safari to blend in with the surroundings.
Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages before the safari to prevent motion sickness during the activity.
It is prohibited to feed the animals.
It is prohibited to take away flora and fauna in the form of cuttings, seeds or roots.
While the Gir Jungle flourishes with rich wildlife, it is purely luck-based to spot various animals and birds during the safari.
For safety purposes, the safari is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone that has had major surgery, or has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.
Pets are not allowed.
Please note that plastic or items made up of plastic are prohibited in the forest area.
Do not use spotlights or searchlights.
Smoking and liquor are strictly prohibited.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get canceled. In such cases, the operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same. Thrillcash+ will be allocated in your Thrillophilia wallet which can be used anytime in the future.

If rescheduling requests are made 72 hours before the date of travel, no amount will be charged as rescheduling fees.

If rescheduling requests are made between 0 to 72 hours before the date of travel, 30% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees.

If cancellation is made 15 days or more before the date of travel, no cancellation fees will be charged.
If cancellation is made between 7 days to 15 days before the date of travel, 50.0% of total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Also known as Sasan Gir, this wildlife sanctuary is known the world over for not only being one of the few known habitats of the Asiatic lion but also for the efforts taken here to prevent this majestic species from getting extinct. This is the only place on the planet, besides Africa, where you can spot this species.

Shree Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple

This Chalukya-style temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the most thronged Places to visit in Somnath and has many fascinating mythological stories attached to it. One such is that Moon God who lost his light and glory due to curse by Daksha got back his lustre by praying fervently to Lord Shiva at Somnath Temple and that Bhagvan Shree Krishna had built Somnath temple with Sandalwood.

So, he devised a cunning plan of kidnapping Veni, the princess of the kingdom who visited the Shiva temple outside the fort every day.

Shana Dungar Buddhist Caves at Vankiya or shortly referred to as "Sana Buddhist Caves" are artificial caves that were carved out of rocks and excavated by the Buddhist monks. The caves are actually a complex of 62 caves spread over the hill consisting of stupas, chaityas, pillows, and benches.

Dehotsarg Teerth

The Dehotsarg Tirth is located on the banks of River Hiran at a distance of two kilometres from Somnath temple. One of the most divine Places to see in Somnath, Dehotsarg Teerth is the place where Lord Krishna left behind his human form and went on His Needham.
