Overview

About the Activity:

  • Situated about 20 kms from Panvel, Karnala fort is surrounded by the Karnala Bird Sanctuary and is truly an adventure to embark upon.
  • On this trek you will be scaling 1,440 ft over a span of 15 hours.
  • Depart from Pune early in the morning at 06:30 AM and arrive at the base to start the trek.
  • With a few rest stops in between, the trek is relatively easy and passes through the village of Shirdhon which has high historical significance.
  • The trek ends as you arrive back at Pune by around 09:30 PM

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Meet your fellow trekkers and team mates at Fergusson College Main Gate at 6:00 AM.

    Depart at 06:30 AM to Karnala. You will reach the base at around 09:30 AM.

    Freshen up and have breakfast before you begin the trek around 10:00 AM.

    After trekking for 2 and a half hours, you will reach the top of the fort where you will get to see the amazing serenity less explored.

    Have your lunch at the top and explore the area more.

    Commence descending back around 02:30 PM which will end up around 04:00 PM at the base.

    Proceed to Shridhon village after having tea. Shirdhon is the birth place of Vasudev Balwant Phadke.

    Around 06:00 PM, start your return journey and reach Pune by 09:30 PM.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
