In lush Mayabunder in the northern corner of the middle Andamans is a quiet village where the Traditional Homestay is situated amidst green paddy fields and forests with the pristine beach a hop away. The homestay was built with a traditional "Karen" structure in 1948 on 5 Acre property. The homestay is a 2 storeyed building with 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor and is one of the last Traditional Karen Homes there. The hosts live on the ground floor and home-stay is a part of their house.
Experiences offered:
-Nature walk: Guests can take a nature walk around the stay and explore a freshwater stream behind the house or just relax in the hammock by the stream.
-Explore paddy fields: The Homestay has it's own paddy fields. Guests can take a tour of the paddy fields and see the farmer's working.
-Forest hike: The homestay is surrounded by a lush green forest. Go on a guided hike to this thickly forested hill called Taun-Ji hill.
-Guided tour of the family farm: The Stay has an organic farm, whose vegetables are used for cooking delicious meals. Take a tour of the fields with the host and learn some pro tips.
-Local village tour and interaction session: Take a guided village tour and interact with elders to know about local history and stories of the Japanese occupation of the islands during the second world
-Guided drive to nearby beaches: Explore the beautiful turtle nesting beaches of Karmatang with the host and enjoy water activities.
After a wonderful day, enjoy homecooked Karen meals made with ingredients like rice, eggs, chickens, local fruits and vegetables sourced from the homestay's organic farm.

The Homestay is located 2 km from the Webi village bus stand in Middle Andamans. Local transport to reach the homestay can be arranged on prior intimation.
