Temples To Be Visited:

Ghorakhal temple - This is just a few km from Bhowali, Bhimtal, and ShyamKhet. This is said to be the temple of Golu Devta who is the God of Justice or Wish.

Hidimba Parvat - About 5 km from Bhimtal is a hill known as Hidimba Parvat. It gets its name from demon Hidimba of Mahabharata. Vankhandi Maharaj, a monk, and environmentalist lives on the hill now and has created a sanctuary for the wild animals around the hill. The area is known as Vankhandi Ashram.

Bhimtal Lake - The biggest lake in the Nainital district and the only one with an island in the middle. Also have many activities like water zorbing, kayaking, etc.

Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple - Situated on the embankment of Bhimtal Lake, Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and named after the powerful Mahabharata character Bhim

Hanuman Garhi temple - Situated in-between Bhimtal-Naukuchiatal, Hanuman Ji Temple is a must-stop spot on the way to Naukuchiatal. The Temple has a 52 feet high statue of lord hanuman
