- ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
- Foreign nationals require a Restricted Area Permit (RAP), which is obtainable on arrival at Port Blair, or from Indian missions abroad.
- Ferry services are available between islands, but schedules can be affected by weather conditions.
- Respect the traditions and customs of the local tribes. Do not photograph or interact with indigenous tribes without permission.
- Mobile network coverage can be spotty, especially on more remote islands. BSNL, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea are the main providers.
- Indian nationals do not need special permits to visit most islands, but certain restricted areas require an Inner Line Permit (ILP).
- Respect marine life by not touching or removing corals and shells, and use eco-friendly sunscreen to protect coral reefs while diving or snorkeling.
- While major hotels and restaurants accept credit/debit cards, small vendors may not, so it’s essential to have cash on hand for small purchases and emergencies.
